fully equipped with anchor bridle, flag mount and flag, drain holes , 4 tie down points , and a waterproof denier tactical fabric bottom. Really fun build.

The OG Johnnyfloat
These were two bodyboards next to the dumpster . I could envision what I needed in the water on my dive. I did a little cutting and bolting and there it was. The first johnnyfloat. i knew it would be very light , durable, and inexpensive. But to my surprise it had little to no drag in the water, tracks amazing

Traveling spot y to spot, heading out , heading in. Anyway you’re headed take a breather , remove your mask/snorkel. This is a great time to drink some water or eat a power bar .

Original first johnnyfloat
This is a two piece johnnyfloat . I still use this one 2 years later . I’m probably about a qtr mile out in this particular dive. Plus gotta fish to fry going in the cooler. All blood out of the water.

Coming home from the dive
dive session is a little more easy and pleasant with a johnnyfloat. This float is
8.45 lbs. 43 inches long. Very rigid and buoyant are its specialty features .

this johnnyfloat has been running hard on some very far dive missions. Absolutely rigid and dependable .

Johnnyfloats with a contained countersunk center have custom drain holes strategically placed above the water line to allow water that may have crashed over the top or somehow got in to exit .

2nd ‘ Keiki’ Johnnyfloat, 32x 15 x 3.5 inch , 2.5 lbs
Smaller , portable float , its got a closed tail creating a contained countersunk center . This one is perfect for towing behind you on a leisurely snorkel or swim with your cell phone, water/snacks, first aid kit, and vhf or beacon.

most if not all johnnyfloats are less than 10 lbs. the average is about 4-6 lbs. Keeping them light as possible is a priority for ease and convenience.

This shot was taken about a 1/4 mile out. It was a great hunting ambush. Super grateful for getting to watch this ‘ tough ‘ fish come over the top of me . Getting out here on my float and having all my gear needed to be safe allows me to be in these situations every now and then.
